What record types does this tool query?
It queries A, AAAA, MX, NS, TXT, CAA, and SOA records simultaneously and displays all results on one page, giving you a complete snapshot of a domain's DNS configuration without running separate queries for each type.
What is a CAA record?
CAA (Certification Authority Authorization) records specify which CAs are permitted to issue SSL/TLS certificates for a domain: 0 issue "letsencrypt.org" restricts issuance to Let's Encrypt. Browsers don't check CAA, but compliant CAs must before issuing — helping prevent unauthorized certificate issuance. See all issued certificates at Domain Certificate Audit.
What is a SOA record?
The Start of Authority (SOA) record is the authoritative source of information about a DNS zone. It contains the primary nameserver, responsible email address, serial number (incremented on each change), and timing parameters for zone transfers and negative caching.
Why might some record types show no results?
Not all record types exist for every domain — many sites don't have AAAA (IPv6) records and CAA records are optional. An empty result means the type doesn't exist in the zone; NXDOMAIN means the domain itself doesn't exist.
